Job summary

Mass General Brigham Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston is seeking a Medical-Surgical ICU Physician Assistant to join a high-acuity, collaborative team onsite.

The PA will admit histories, perform procedures, and help develop treatment plans with intensivists, under supervision. Two years of PA experience and a state license are preferred; ongoing teaching and research participation are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Physician Assistant is required.
• 2 years of PA experience preferred.
• Physician Assistant state license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform admitting histories and physicals; document in patient records.
• Perform bedside procedures and wound care as needed.
• Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans with attending intensivists.
• Respond to emergencies; obtain studies, orders, consultations, and interpret labs/x-rays.
• Provide age-specific care from adolescence to geriatrics.
• Work under supervising critical care attendings; mentor students.
• Teach medical students and PA students; stay current with literature.
• Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety, and research efforts.
