Job summary

Jefferson County Public Schools is seeking an ECE Instructional Assistant for Trunnell Elementary School in Louisville, KY, starting in the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports students with disabilities in an MSD/MMD setting, following the ECE guidelines and IEPs, in a structured classroom environment.

The position starts at 7:30 AM with 187 days per year and a 7-hour workday. Salary placement follows the 1A Grade 8 schedule with a salary range of $24.52–$26.96 per hour, plus a $1.00

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Passing score on the KPA (Kentucky Paraeducator Exam) or 48 college semester hours.
• Willingness and aptitude to work with students with disabilities.
• Physical ability and willingness to assist with physical needs of students such as positioning, toileting, and lifting.
• Willingness to attend district ECE in-service for professional growth.
