Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is a private, nonprofit community-based health system serving a 22-county region in North Florida and South Georgia. We operate a 772-bed acute care hospital with a range of advanced programs and a diverse team of over 6,000 colleagues.

We are seeking a registered nurse leader to supervise direct patient care, model clinical excellence, and ensure staff performance complies with all regulatory standards, including the Florida Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Associates Degree in Nursing. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum: 2 years of job-related previous experience. Preferred: 3+ years of job-related experience, to include supervisory experience.
• Current RN License in the State of Florida.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the provision of direct patient care while upholding patients' rights, dignity, values, confidentiality and expressed needs.
• Provides leadership in the practice setting by modeling clinical excellence and assuring staff performance complies with regulatory guidelines.
• Coordinates clinical support staff response to walk-ins in emergent and other situations to ensure tasks comply with TMH policies and Florida Nurse Practice Act.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Supervises the provision of direct patient care in a manner which displays respect for the patients' rights, dignity, values, confidentiality and expressed needs. Provides leadership in the practice setting by committing to practice excellence and acting as a role model for clinical support staff and assuring their job performance complies with all regulatory guidelines. Coordinates clinical support staff response to walk-ins in emergent and other situations as needed to assure tasks performed are in compliance with departmental and TMH policies and procedures, and within staff educational preparation as well as the Florida Nurse Practice Act.

Required Education:
