Job description

Beacon Technologies is seeking an MS Dynamics Consultant for our client partner. The scope of this project includes:

  • Assessment of the current workflows and dependencies hosted on Windows 2012 Server.
  • Design and implementation of a cloud-based architecture suitable for Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Migrating seven complex workflows to the cloud with minimal downtime.
  • Testing and validation to ensure workflows function as intended post-migration.
  • Providing documentation and training for ongoing cloud operations.

The primary objectives of this project are:

  • Ensure a seamless transition of the Microsoft Dynamics workflows to the cloud.
  • Modernize the workflows for improved performance and reliability.
  • Leverage cloud services to increase scalability and cost efficiency.
  • Minimize disruption to ongoing business operations during migration.

The following deliverables will be provided as part of this engagement:

  • Assessment Report: Detailed documentation of the current workflows, dependencies, and technical requirements.
  • Migrated Workflows: Fully operational workflows residing in the cloud, optimized for performance.
  • Cloud Architecture Design: Blueprint of the new infrastructure, including security protocols and scalability considerations.
  • Testing Documentation: Results of validation tests confirming the functionality of workflows post-migration.
  • User Training Materials: Guides and workshops for operational staff to manage the new cloud environment.

The project will be executed in the following phases:

  • Phase 1 - Discovery and Assessment: 2 weeks
  • Phase 2 - Planning and Design: 3 weeks
  • Phase 3 - Migration and Implementation: 4 weeks
  • Phase 4 - Testing and Validation: 2 weeks
  • Phase 5 - Training and Documentation: 1 week

Vendor Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a thorough assessment and provide a detailed migration plan.
  • Execute the migration with minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Ensure cloud architecture adheres to best practices for security and scalability.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress to the client.

Assumptions:

  • All necessary permissions and access to existing workflows are provided by the client.
  • Client has a cloud provider selected and accounts set up for the migration.
  • Any third-party tools or licenses required for the migration are made available in advance.

The project will be considered complete when:

  • All seven Microsoft Dynamics workflows are successfully migrated to the cloud.
  • Workflows operate without errors and meet performance benchmarks.
  • Testing and validation are signed off by the client.
  • Training materials are delivered, and operational staff are trained.
