We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed MRI Technologist on a full-time basis who will perform procedures in a compassionate and respectful manner. Please note our facility is a Level II Trauma Center which requires availability for rotating call assignments.
As an MRI Technologist, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI (and associated) equipment
Obtain high-quality MR images assuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation
Facilitate the procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare and administer the appropriate contrast material if ordered
Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
Monitor the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies
Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care
