Job summary

Mercy Hospital Springfield seeks an MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment, ensure patient safety, and uphold high-quality imaging standards. You will lead when supervision is unavailable and help orient new caregivers to clinical practices.

Experienced professionals or recent graduates from accredited imaging programs with required clinical hours are invited to apply, with ARRT(MR) or MRMRIT certification and BLS required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program with required clinical hours.
• 1 year of relevant experience or graduate of Bachelor degree.
• State licensure may be required depending on the state of practice.
• ARRT(MR) or MRMRIT certification and BLS basic life support.

Position Details

Mercy Hospital Springfield

Full-Time: Thursday - Saturday (3 - 12-hour shifts)

Nights: 6:30PM to 7:00AM

Overview

The MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) Technologist operates imaging equipment and software, mostly MRI equipment, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging standards. Responsibilities also include serving as lead when leadership is unavailable and assisting new caregiver orientation and training. The MRI Technologist position also requires a strong commitment to patient care, technical expertise, and collaborative communication with patients and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program and completion required clinical hours.
• Experience: One (1) year of relevant experience OR graduate of Bachelor degree program
• Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
• Certification: ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT; BLS Basic Life Support

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred certifications: MRSO (Magnetic Resonance Safety Officer) or MRSE (Magnetic Resonance Safety Expert) certification

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
