Description
MRI Technologist | Full-Time Days
PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center RiverBend | Springfield, Oregon
3 x 12-Hour Shifts | Thursday-Saturday | 8:00 AM-8:30 PM
Four Consecutive Days Off Every Week
$47.24-$70.56/hr + Full Benefits
Hiring Incentives May Be Available
Imagine finishing your Saturday shift knowing your next scheduled workday isn't until Thursday morning.
Four consecutive days to spend with family, take road trips, explore Oregon, recover after a busy week, or simply enjoy life outside of healthcare. Full-time MRI opportunities with this kind of schedule don't appear often, especially in a hospital where the work remains challenging, interesting, and professionally rewarding.
At PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center RiverBend in Springfield, Oregon, your days won't be filled with the same routine outpatient studies over and over. As a regional referral center, Level II Trauma Center, and Comprehensive Stroke Center, you'll care for patients whose imaging truly influences urgent clinical decisions. One moment you're performing routine exams, the next you're helping support complex neuro, stroke, oncology, trauma, cardiac, pediatric anesthesia, or implanted device imaging.
This is the kind of MRI role many technologists hope to find: advanced clinical work, highly respected colleagues, no routine call requirement, and a schedule that gives you four days off every week.
You arrive knowing the day's schedule could take you almost anywhere.
The morning might begin with a stroke patient requiring urgent neuroimaging. Later, you're scanning a cardiac patient, supporting anesthesia for a pediatric case, or helping evaluate a complex oncology diagnosis. Every shift brings variety because RiverBend serves as a referral destination for patients across the region.
You'll work with two Siemens scanners, including both a 1.5T and a 3T system. Across both magnets, the team averages about 29 patients daily, creating a pace that stays engaging while still allowing technologists to focus on quality and patient care.
Because this department supports primarily emergency and inpatient imaging, the work feels meaningful. You're not simply producing images. You're helping physicians make critical decisions during some of the most important moments in a patient's healthcare journey.
Springfield and nearby Eugene offer something increasingly difficult to find: room to breathe.
Your four-day weekends can include hiking, cycling, fishing, mountain adventures, local wineries, college athletics, live music, or simply enjoying a lower-stress lifestyle than many larger metropolitan areas. You'll have easy access to the Oregon Coast, Cascade Mountains, and countless outdoor destinations without sacrificing access to quality healthcare, culture, restaurants, and everyday conveniences.
It's the kind of place where work remains important, but life doesn't revolve around it.
Salary Range: $47.24 - $70.56 per hour
