Job summary

University Radiology Group in Lyndhurst, NJ is seeking a full-time MRI Technologist to join our outpatient imaging team. You will perform diagnostic MRI exams, working independently and with a small, collaborative team to deliver high-quality images for radiologists and referring physicians.

Two shifts are available (M-F 7:30 am – 4:00 pm and 8:00 am – 4:30 pm) with one Saturday per month. ARRT(MR) certification and 3+ years of MRI experience are required; high-field magnet experience is

Qualifications

• ARRT(MR) certification required.
• 3+ years MRI work experience required.
• High-field magnet experience is essential.
• GE high-field magnet experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams of brain, spine, joints, MSK, abdomen, pelvis, breast, and vascular studies.
• Review orders and patient history to confirm exam and protocol.
• Complete MRI safety screening and enforce safety rules.
• Screen for contrast allergies and kidney function; administer gadolinium per protocol.
• Position patients and select coils/sequences to optimize image quality.
• Explain procedures and support patient comfort during scans.
• Evaluate images for quality before patient discharge.
