Job summary

Washington Radiology is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures, prepare and position patients, and ensure safety and accuracy in imaging exams. You will work with physicians to report findings and manage contrast administration while maintaining strict patient confidentiality and OSHA/HIPAA compliance.

The role supports a warm, patient-focused team in Chevy Chase, MD, with day/evening hours and a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Must become CPR certified within 90 days of employment and renew annually.
Maryland or Virginia state license required for technologists working in MD/VA offices.
Be able to lift and move patients as required.

Responsibilities

Perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures as prescribed by a physician.
Instruct patients on proper physiological requirements for the procedure.
Assess contraindications for entering a magnetic field (e.g., pacemakers, implants).
Prepare patient for exam, explain the procedure, position patient, administer contrast, assist after exam.
Obtain consent forms and ensure accuracy of exam-related information.
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work area; adhere to OSHA/HIPAA rules.
Identify and respond to adverse reactions to contrast media, including CPR if needed.
Report equipment issues and follow policies/procedures of Washington Radiology.
