Job summary

The NeuroMedical Center in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking an MRI/X-ray Technologist to support our Imaging Department on Saturdays from 7:00am to 1:00pm. The role pays $55 per hour and requires ARRT and LSRT certifications with an Associate degree in Radiology Technology.

You will operate MRI and X-ray equipment, ensure image quality, and maintain patient comfort. Responsibilities include verifying orders, performing quality control, and assisting with department operations.

Qualifications

• 1 year of radiology/imaging experience
• ARRT and LSRT certifications required
• Associates in Radiology Technology required or equivalent

• Adapt communication and care approach to meet the needs of diverse patient populations
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and imaging procedures for accuracy
• Clearly explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort and understanding
• Independently operate MRI and X-ray equipment in accordance with established protocols (including IV placement)
• Review images to confirm diagnostic quality prior to submission
• Perform routine quality control procedures in compliance with regulatory standards and address any issues as needed
• Support departmental operations, including inventory management, scheduling, and equipment upkeep
• Adapt communication and care approach to meet the needs of diverse patient populations, ensuring respect, privacy, and clarity
• Perform additional duties as assigned
