Job summary

Indiana University Health System is seeking an MRI professional to ensure safety, screen patients, obtain IV access, and administer contrast as needed. You will support radiologists and assist with procedures while maintaining high image quality.

Responsibilities include routine QC, EMR documentation, and educating patients about what to expect during their scan. MRI experience is preferred, with BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• MRI safety knowledge and patient screening.
• Ability to obtain IV access and administer contrast.
• Familiar with cross-sectional anatomy.
• Ability to follow scanning protocols and adjust for quality images.
• Proficient in documenting in EMR and collaborating with radiologists.

Responsibilities

• Ensure MRI environment safety by screening visitors and staff.
• Review patient history for ferromagnetic objects and contraindications.
• Educate patients on MRI process and comfort.
• Obtain IV access and administer contrast as needed; respond to adverse events.
• Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians.
• Perform routine QC and verify equipment functionality.
• Document required information in EMR and assist with procedures.
