Position Summary:

Performs a variety of routine and specialized MRI procedures for inpatients, outpatients and emergency department patients of all ages. Performs assigned supervisory functions. Maintains the standards of ARRT.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates courteous behavior through polite and respectful communication to all customers and adheres to the 7 customer service behaviors
• Adheres to MRI safety standards
• Verifies physician orders for instructions from requesting physician and consults with the radiologists as necessary.
• Preps patient for exam.
• Explains procedure and provides education and instruction to patient as appropriate.
• Performs all magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies and administration of contrast media utilizing age related technical and positioning protocols and safety procedures according to department policy and procedure.
• Assists radiologist with MR procedures as requested.
• Evaluates MRI images for technical quality
• Operates and maintains MRI and associated equipment and supplies.
• Performs equipment warm up, calibration and safety check.
• Operates hospital computer system.
• Reports to supervisor any equipment malfunctions.
• Operates equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines for appropriate quality control.
• Completes documentation according to guidelines
• Adheres to hospital policies and professional standards

Required Qualifications:

• Education and Training: Current ARRT/ ARMRIT certification.
• Minimum 2 years clinical MRI scanning experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Pay:

The expected pay for this position is listed below: $42.00 - $42.00. The final pay rate offered may be more than the posted range based on several factors including but not limited to: licensure, certifications, work experience, education, knowledge, demonstrated abilities, internal equity, market data, and more.
