Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI exams in a Level One Trauma Center, preparing patients, administering contrast, and optimizing image quality.

The role requires ARRT or ARMRIT credentials with an associate degree in medical imaging and BLS, with opportunities to work in a busy hospital setting that values patient safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program (ARRT) or graduate from ARMRIT with an Associate Degree with focus in medical imaging, preferably MRI.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams following established protocols to assist diagnosis.
• Position patients and manage contrast administration.
• Acquire cross-sectional images of the body and support physicians with imaging results.

MRI is looking for highly motivated individuals who would like to work in a busy Level One Trauma Center where MRI operates 24/7 on 3 GE High Field Scanners.

Summary

The MRI Technologist performs MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) exam in the hospital by selecting specific software parameters according to established protocols in order to assist the referring physician in diagnosis. The MRI Tech prepares and positions patients, injects patients with contrast media, and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
