Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a CT Technologist I to perform CT procedures according to departmental protocols and standards, operating CT scanners and associated equipment with proficiency.

You will verify orders, prepare patients, and review medical history, ensuring safe, accurate imaging. The role requires ARRT Radiology certification or NMTCB, and BLS, with strong commitment to radiation safety and patient care.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiology certification or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine; BLS required.
• Experience with CT procedures and patient positioning is preferred.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and infection control policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners and related equipment per department protocols.
• Verify orders with Radiologist and troubleshoot discrepancies.
• Prepare patients and explain procedures; review medical history in EMR.
• Administer IV contrast and monitor patient during exam.
• Maintain safety standards and assist in emergencies as needed.
