Indiana University Health Arnett Hospital is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging with a focus on safety and patient comfort. You will review patient history, screen for safety concerns, and adjust protocols to produce high‑quality images.
The role includes obtaining IV access, preparing and administering contrast, monitoring for adverse events, and collaborating with radiologists while documenting in the EMR and supporting minimally invasive procedures as needed.
This is a PRN MRI Technologist role at our Arnett Hospital location.
Possesses knowledge of MRI safety and safety zones. Reviews patient history and screens for safety concerns (ferromagnetic objects, implanted devices, etc.). Educates patients on what to expect and ensures they are safe and comfortable during their scan. Obtains IV access, prepares and administers contrast, and is familiar with recognizing and responding to adverse contrast events. Possesses advanced knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy. Ensures the MRI environment remains safe by screening all visitors and team members entering the MRI environment. Displays knowledge of scanning protocols and adjusts to ensure diagnostic images. Performs routine QC and ensures equipment is functioning properly. Collaborates with radiologists and referring physicians. Documents necessary information in EMR. Assists with minimally invasive procedures as needed.
