Job summary

Job description

Position Overview

This role involves providing safe, age-appropriate diagnostic imaging services, primarily MRI, requiring independent judgment, technical proficiency, and excellent patient care skills.

• Responsibilities: Obtain clinical histories, prepare patients, operate imaging equipment, ensure image quality, verify patient identity, and follow safety protocols. Respond to emergencies, assist with procedures, and maintain equipment and environment.
• Patient Care: Ensure patient privacy, comfort, and dignity; communicate clearly; address questions and concerns; assist with pre- and post-procedure care; and ensure proper documentation.
• Technical Skills: Adjust imaging techniques for optimal results, troubleshoot equipment issues, operate monitoring systems, and maintain infection control standards.
• Operations: Restock supplies, transport and position patients, perform clerical tasks, and support team collaboration. Take call and perform additional duties as needed.
• Qualifications: Certifying in MRI technology (ARMRIT or ARRT-MR), BLS certification, minimum 1 year clinical experience, and strong communication, technical, and customer service skills. Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and MRI protocols is essential.
