Torrance Memorial is seeking an MRI Technologist to prepare patients and perform MRI examinations in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires screening patients and visitors for safety, applying MRI protocols, and administering contrast when needed. You will support radiologists, maintain equipment, and participate in performance improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality imaging services.

Qualifikationen

• Completion of a formal Radiology technology training program.
• ARRT Advanced MRI certification within 2 years of hire.
• BCLS or ACLS certification.

Aufgaben

• Screens and interviews patients about undergoing MRI examinations.
• Ensures safety policies for MRI scanning are followed.
• Performs MRI procedures and selects appropriate FOV and matrices.
• Administers IV contrast when applicable.
• Maintains logbooks and PACS imaging presentation state.
• Responds to physician inquiries and supports department staff.
• Assists rotating student technologists and initiates service calls when needed.
• Participates in hospital performance improvement activities.
