Job summary

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality MRI examinations in an outpatient imaging center. This role requires independent clinical judgment, technical expertise, and strong patient care skills to ensure safe and accurate imaging services.

The MRI Technologist operates MRI equipment, collaborates with radiologists and MRSO, and maintains safety, quality, and documentation standards to support accurate diagnosis and optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field required.
• Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) required.
• Advanced certification in MRI (ARRT (MR)) or ARMRIT preferred or required depending on facility and state regulations
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations according to physician orders and protocols.
• Explain exams and prepare patients, screen contraindications.
• Position patients and optimize imaging parameters for quality.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists and staff to ensure quality care.
• Document procedures and maintain accurate records in PACS/EMR
