Qualifications

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (MR).
• Current Florida General Radiographer license is required.
• 1-5 years of clinical experience, with at least 1 year in MRI.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for examination and executes specialty radiologic examinations.
• Reviews patient medical records to verify physician's orders prior to examination.
• Cross trains in other specialty areas or departments as needed.
• Inspects films for quality before interpretation by Radiologist.
• Assists in training new technologists.
• Demonstrates competency in operating specialized equipment.
• Implements Standard Precautions on all patients.
• Reports all equipment malfunctions immediately.
• Maintains necessary supplies for radiologic examinations.
