Qualifications
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) (MR).
Current Florida General Radiographer license is required.
1-5 years of clinical experience, with at least 1 year in MRI.
Responsibilities
Prepares patients for examination and executes specialty radiologic examinations.
Reviews patient medical records to verify physician's orders prior to examination.
Cross trains in other specialty areas or departments as needed.
Inspects films for quality before interpretation by Radiologist.
Assists in training new technologists.
Demonstrates competency in operating specialized equipment.
Implements Standard Precautions on all patients.
Reports all equipment malfunctions immediately.
Maintains necessary supplies for radiologic examinations.
