Job summary

A healthcare provider in Clark, New Jersey is seeking an MRI Technologist to produce accurate MRI images for patient diagnosis. Job Description

Responsible for producing MRI images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnosis. Interprets a physician's scanning/exam instructions, administers contrast materials, prepares, and operates the MR scanner and x‑ray equipment (as needed), and positions the patient to capture appropriate images.

Principal Accountabilities

• Interprets MR Protocols and correctly positions the patient for the exam.
• Evaluates MR scans and X‑Ray images (as needed) for technical quality.
• Utilizes EPIC Radiant and PACS to schedule and transmit images to the Radiologist for interpretation.
• Starts IV lines and pre‑screens outpatients prior to contrast exams.
• Prepares and administers contrast material using the power injector.
• Contributes to the team and works cooperatively with peers.
• Treats fellow employees in a respectful and professional manner.
• Performs other related duties as assigned, including QA, stock maintenance, and customer service recovery.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Radiology and/or a graduate of an accredited radiology program.
• MR Certified through ARRT or ARMRIT.
• BLS through AHA.

Preferred

• State RT License for ARRT candidates through the NJDEP.
