Job summary

Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia, WA is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures and manage related tasks. You will set up, scan, and film studies while communicating with radiologists, physicians, patients and families to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include quality control, reporting, maintaining daily schedules, assisting radiologists, administering medications within scope, starting IVs, and providing on-call coverage to support the department's

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in radiologic technology required.
  • MRI technologist training program required.
  • WA RT license with MR designation required.
  • National Registered Technologist - MRI certification preferred.
  • National Certification MRI Technologist (ARRT) preferred.
  • BLS certification required at hire.

Job description

DescriptionThis position is responsible for MRI technologist duties. Responsibilities include performing MRI procedures, (setting up, scanning and filming). The position also is responsible for communication with radiologists and other physicians, patients and their families, and other persons. Additional responsibilities include performing quality control and reporting tasks, maintaining day-to-day schedules, assisting radiologist, handling medication within scope of license, starting IV's and contributing to the efficient operation of the department assuring the quality and continuity of patient care. Is Responsible for taking call.

Required Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technologist Training Program
  • Coursework/Training: MRI Technologist Training Program
  • Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist
  • WA State Radiologic Technologist (RT) License with MR designation
  • Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging
  • Upon hire: National Certified MRI Technologist - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
