Job summary

Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center MRI department in Charlotte, NC seeks an MRI Technologist I for part-time weekends. You will operate MRI scanners, prepare patients, verify orders, and administer IV contrast per protocol. CPR certification and ARRT/ARMRIT eligibility required, with registry obtained within one year of hire.

A sign-on bonus is offered for eligible candidates. Responsibilities include patient care, safety, and collaboration with radiologists to ensure high-quality imaging

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• MRI registry eligible or ARMRIT; MRI registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verify orders with Radiologist before performing exam.
• Identify patient using two identifiers and explain procedures.
• Prepare patients and document on worksheets.
• Administer IV contrast per departmental protocols.
• Operate MRI scanner and ensure image quality; consult Radiologist as needed.
