Capital Health is seeking an MRI Technologist (Part Time) in Hopewell, NJ. The role focuses on delivering high-quality MRI imaging, supporting radiology staff, and ensuring patient safety in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have an accredited radiology or MRI program background and will obtain ARRT MRI or ARMRIT certification within one year. AHA BLS certification is required, with Siemens MRI experience preferred.

• AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider.
• Verifiable hours working on MRI machines, Siemens preferred.
• Venipuncture training within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical radiology services per standards and supports radiography students and technologists.
• Sends images to PACS and ensures image QC and accuracy.
• Identifies patients and files to prevent mislabeling and ensures proper data entry for radiologists.
• Demonstrates venipuncture technique for IV contrast administration.
• Maintains patient safety and follows department protocols for high-strength magnetic fields.
• Assists physicians in studies and ensures efficient department operations.

Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status (e.g., part-time).**Pay Range:**$40.19 - $52.51**Scheduled Weekly Hours:**20**Position Overview*** Provides clinical services according to radiology practice standards and acts as a resource to radiography students and other technologists to ensure optimal patient care and efficient departmental operations.* Ability and availability to perform on-call (60 minute response time) holiday work when required.* Demonstrates competency in correctly sending images to PACS. Understands and abides by the image QC process when completing exams in PACS.Identifies correctly patients and files to ensure a high degree of accuracy. Ensures the prevention of mislabeled images and films. Enters written and electronic data accurately in comments to provide all pertinent data to radiologists to assist in the interpretation of imaging studies as evidenced by written documentation.* Demonstrates a thorough understanding of venipuncture techniques and practices for the administration of intravenous contrast media.* Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Magnetic Resonance Imaging principles and theory, anatomy, positioning, and technique for obtaining optimal imaging studies.* Demonstrates proper protection and safety processes for patients and staff as outlined in department protocols and regulatory guidelines pertaining to high strength magnetic fields. Demonstrates patient safety by use of guard rails, breaking mechanisms, shielding, and patient monitoring to avoid patient injury.* Completes ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations. Assists physicians in the performance of various studies using standard department protocols and appropriate protective actions and infection control procedures.* Demonstrates excellent patient care. Recognizes clinical and emergent problems that may interfere with exams and take appropriate action to resolve them to produce the most desirable outcome. Understands and demonstrates the ability to provide exceptional customer service.* Adheres to department policies and protocols to ensure that all studies are optimized for interpretation.## MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS* Education: Graduate from an accredited Radiology program or graduate from an accredited MRI program.
