Job summary

AMI is seeking a part-time MRI Technologist to join our Vineland, NJ outpatient Radiology team. This 20-hour-per-week role requires MRI expertise and a patient-focused approach.

You will conduct scheduled and on-demand MRI scans, assist patients, ensure safety, and perform QC tasks. ARRT/ARMRIT registration and BLS are required; in-house training provided with opportunities for pay increases based on experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited MRI program.
• ARRT or ARMRIT registration required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Venipuncture experience preferred.
• Willing to obtain additional certifications if not trained.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and on-demand MRI scans per department policies.
• Handle image reconstruction, archiving, filming, and software tasks as directed by Radiologist or procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure their safety in MRI environment.
• Assist patients on/off MRI table using lift devices when needed.
• Consult with Radiologist and apply proper scanning protocols.
• Complete daily schedules and document procedures using RIS.
• Monitor patient flow and accommodate unscheduled studies and add-ons.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions; correct minor issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform weekly quality control and all required calibrations and shutdowns with documentation.
• Maintain daily inventory of supplies and report replenishment needs.
• Assist in training new graduates and staff on AMI equipment.

AMI is seeking a Part time, 20 hour per week MRI Technologist to join the team in the Vineland, NJ office location on South Delsea Drive. This is a great opportunity to join a growing outpatient Radiology practice!Part time, 20+ hour per week positions at AMI are eligible for Paid Time Off (PTO), Paid Holidays, 401k & Profit Sharing. Health benefits are not currently extended with part time positions. Offered rates increase based on years of work experience.Generous shift differential of $15.00 per hour applied to time worked after 8pm!The MRI Technologist is responsible for but not limited to:Conducts all scheduled and on-demand MRI scans according to department policies.Handles image reconstruction, archiving, filming, and other software tasks as directed by the Radiologist or standard procedures.Reviews diagnostic requests for correct anatomy and clinical history.Explains procedures to patients.Evaluates and ensures patient safety in the MRI environment, including following all screening protocols and ensuring patients wear gowns (no street clothes in the MRI room).Helps patients on and off the MRI table, using lift assist devices when needed.Consults with the Radiologist and apply proper scanning protocols as instructed.Completes daily work schedules and document procedures using the Radiology Information System.Monitors patient flow and accommodate unscheduled or add-on studies as needed.Identifies and reports equipment malfunctions; corrects minor system problems when possible to minimize downtime.Performs weekly system quality control and all required equipment calibrations, warm-up, and shutdown procedures, with proper documentation.Maintains daily inventory of medical and other supplies; obtains stock items as needed and reports when non-stock items need replenishing.Assists in training new graduates, employees, and students on AMI equipment as directed by management.Perform any additional duties as required and assigned.This Part time, 20 hour per week position will provide coverage in the AMI Galloway and Egg Harbor Township office locations.The work schedule includes:Monday, 12:30pm-11pm in GallowayTuesday, 12:30pm-11pm in Egg Harbor TownshipGenerous shift differential of $15.00 per hour applied to time worked after 8pm!Schedules are subject to change based on business needs.Candidates for this position must be a graduate of an accredited MRI program and are registered in MRI by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or ARMRIT. Current and valid American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required prior to start of employment. Previous experience or certification in venipuncture preferred for the injection of contrast media via butterfly needle and IV catheter. If not currently trained/certified, must be willing to obtain. In-house training will be provided.Exceptional communication skills, including interpersonal, verbal, and written, are necessary for success in this position.
