Salary depends on experience and qualifications.

Schedule: Flexible evening and weekend hours, with differential pay ($2.50/hr evening, $3.00/hr weekend).

Location: Shelton, CT

The MRI Technologist will perform MRI exams following protocols, ensuring high diagnostic quality and patient care. Responsibilities include assisting radiologists with procedures like arthrograms, managing documentation, patient setup, operating equipment, and other clinical and administrative duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI procedures accurately and efficiently.
• Escort patients and assist with dressings as needed.
• Complete necessary paperwork for timely service delivery.
• Explain procedures to patients and address concerns.
• Administer I.V. contrast.
• Practice radiation safety techniques.
• Coordinate with radiologists for interpretations.
• Conduct quality control and report malfunctions.
• Maintain professional interactions with patients and staff.

Education and Experience:

• Associate Degree or equivalent from a recognized institution, or related experience/training.
• ARRT (R) (MR) certification and Connecticut licensure required.
• 1-2+ years of MRI experience preferred, Siemens and GE experience a plus.
