Job summary

Rhode Island Medical Imaging seeks an MRI Technologist to deliver high-quality MRI services under the Lead MRI Technologist. You will generate diagnostic films, ensure quality control, and support efficient patient flow. Bilingual ability is a plus, with a strong emphasis on patient interaction and teamwork.

The role requires ARRT MR certification and IV experience, with a schedule of evening shifts at our Lincoln, RI site. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible candidates.

Summary

Schedule

• Monday-Thursday 3:30 PM-9:00 PM and Friday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM at our Lincoln, RI clinical site

Job Requirements

• Physical dexterity and strength to operate all types of MR related equipment, properly position patients, and handle patient films and files.
• Conceptual ability to determine means of providing requested studies based on the specifics of each case.
• Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and/or emotional stress, referring physicians and staff, radiologists, fellow employees, supplier and service representatives, and any/all others who they will come in contact with during the course of the business day.
• Organizational skills as required by the position.
• Analytical skills necessary for the compilation and interpretation of data.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide proper patient care.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to perform exams as outlined by governing bodies and RIMI protocol.
• Bilingual (Spanish/Portuguese) preferred but not required.

Education/Certifications

• Must be ARRT registered, MR Certification
• IV experience required.

Physical Demands

• Walks and stands intermittently throughout the day.
• May lift/position patients and supplies up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to move patients from scanner tables and transport patients in wheelchairs and/or stretchers.
• Ability to crouch, reach, and lift to allow appropriate manipulation positioning and placement of ancillary equipment.
• Will have exposure to high magnetic fields and cannot have any physical condition that would be aggravated by magnetic fields, acoustic noise, and occasional RF exposure.
• Ability to work in Zone 3 and Zone 4.
