Job summary

HIKINEX in Las Cruces, NM seeks a full-time MRI Technologist for outpatient imaging. The role requires ARRT MRI certification or ARMRIT, NM state MRI license, and BLS at hire. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is paid in two installments after 90 days and at 12 months.

The position involves reviewing orders, administering contrast, and ensuring patient understanding throughout the exam. Ideal candidates will monitor patient status, prepare equipment, select imaging parameters, and report results.

Qualifications

• Registered in MRI with ARRT or certified by ARMRIT.
• Has or can obtain a NM state MRI license.
• BLS certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders; educates patient about procedures and exam.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within scope.
• Monitors patient condition and reports changes as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies for imaging procedures.
• Selects exposure factors, positions patient, performs imaging; analyzes results.
• Resolves image quality issues and may reposition/repeat procedures.
• Enters, transmits and reports scan results.
