Job summary

Providence Centralia Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures, including setup, scanning and filming, while coordinating with radiologists, physicians and patients. The role requires maintaining quality control, reporting, and assisting the radiologist, with IV starts and medication handling within scope of license.

The position includes on-call responsibilities and contributes to efficient department operation and patient care continuity.

Qualifications

  • Must have WA State RT license with MR designation.
  • Must be certified MR technologist (ARRT or equivalent) upon hire.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI procedures: setting up, scanning and filming.
  • Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, patients and families.
  • Conduct quality control and reporting tasks; maintain day-to-day schedules.
  • Assist radiologist; handle medications within scope of license; start IVs.
  • Be available for on-call duties and contribute to department workflow and patient care continuity.
