Job summary

Genesis HealthCare System is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI procedures and assist physicians in interventional studies. You will ensure image quality, operate MRI equipment, manage contrast administration, and follow safety policies while collaborating with radiology staff and students in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in HIS/RIS/PACS, strong communication, and the ability to work independently under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Competence in all diagnostic and invasive MRI procedures performed at this facility.
• Excellent interpersonal, decision-making, facilitation, conflict resolution skills.
• Demonstrated excellence with listening, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a complex and changing working environment.
• Demonstrated computer skills and knowledge of computer software related to electronic imaging and clinical information management.
• CPR Certified

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI scanner and associated imaging equipment to complete diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Produces acceptable images by determining proper technical factors based on patient diagnosis and exam.
• Assists physicians in MR guided interventional procedures as required.
• Prepares and administers contrast media under the direction of a physician.
• Follows all safety policies related to operation of MRI unit.
• Uses HIS/RIS/PACS to process and access department information.
• Assists in transporting patients to and from the department.
• Participates in clinical training of radiology students as required.
• Provides education to patients and families.
• Participates in quality assurance activities.
