Job summary

Blanchard Valley Health System in Findlay, OH is seeking a Diagnostic MRI Technologist to perform MRI studies under Radiologist supervision. The role includes operating MRI equipment, ensuring patient safety, privacy, and comfort, and rotating among BVHS locations on the first shift.

You will coordinate with radiologists and other departments to boost imaging productivity and referrals, explain procedures to patients, and mentor students and new staff while maintaining compliance with policies

Qualifications

• Must obtain MRI technologist registry within 24 months of hire.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• On-call duties require arrival within 45 minutes of notification.
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to assess age-specific patient needs and provide appropriate care.

Responsibilities

• Selects MRI techniques and protocols and handles paperwork.
• Multi-task effectively in a busy imaging department.
• Follows chain of communication and uses proper problem-solving directions.
• Keeps current with new procedures and equipment in the MRI department.
• Coordinates with radiology staff to improve imaging productivity and referrals.
• Explains MRI procedures to patients ensuring comfort, safety and privacy.
• Adheres to policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provides education to students and guidance to new staff.
