Job summary

Stormont Vail Health in Topeka, Kansas is seeking a radiologic MRI technologist for the first shift. This full-time role involves operating MRI equipment, preparing patients, and assisting radiologists in examinations.

What you will do

• Perform MRI procedures by preparing and positioning patient for diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Assists radiologist in examinations.
• Measures and administers contrast media.
• Explains procedures to patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
• Adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by physician.
• Processes images and reviews for proper identification and quality control.
• Prepares images for reading by radiologist or requesting physician.
• Performs routine maintenance, diagnoses malfunctions, and makes minor repairs on radiologic equipment, arranging for repairs as needed.
• Completes forms and maintains records, logs, and reports of work performed.
• Performs office work including, but not limited to, answering phone, filing, obtaining information from computer, typing cards to stamp films, and ordering departmental supplies.
