Job summary

Providence St. Mary Medical Center seeks an MRI Technologist to perform all MRI procedures with care and precision. Responsibilities include preparing patients, obtaining histories, scanning specific anatomy, and submitting scans to the radiologist for interpretation.

Ideal candidates hold MRI certifications (ARMRIT/ARRT) and BLS, with preferred California CRT license; hospital setting experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Specific training in MRI procedures.
• National Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification upon hire.
• National Certified MRI Technologist - ARMRIT certification upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs all MRI procedures with a caring, professional attitude and attention to detail.
• Prepares scans for interpretation by preparing the patient, obtaining appropriate clinical histories, scanning indicated anatomy, filming patient's scans and submitting work to the radiologist.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training:Specific training in MRI procedures.
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging or
  • Upon hire: National Certified MRI Technologist - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

• California Radiologic Technologist License (CRT).
• 2 years' experience in a hospital setting.
