Job summary

Parrish Healthcare is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform routine and emergent MRI scans with strict safety practices. The role reports to the CT/MRI Supervisor on-site and supports patient scheduling, documentation, and cross-disciplinary coordination in the Diagnostic Imaging department.

Qualified candidates will have an Associate's Degree or equivalent, ARRT certification, and MRI Registry within 1 year of hire.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years of experience preferred.
  • ARRT certification and MRI Registry within 1 year of hire date are required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides all aspects of Magnetic Resonance Imaging care based on established standards.
  • Demonstrates competency in all procedures within the scope of practice for age groups served.
  • Educates the patient prior to performing the procedure and answers questions.
  • Pre-screens all patients for MRI procedures with interviews.
  • Operates MRI equipment to achieve high-quality scans for diagnosis.
  • Administers contrast agents when appropriate and documents related to contrast use.
  • Communicates patient needs to radiologists and other providers.
  • Performs daily equipment checks and housekeeping duties in the MRI suite.
  • Coordinates scheduling and patient care plans with nursing and other imaging modalities.
