Job summary

Luminis Health is seeking an MRI technologist to perform routine and complex MRI procedures while ensuring safety and quality for patients.

The role requires completing a one-year MRI program or ARRT MRI certification with CME maintenance, and current BLS. You will work with a specialized medical team, monitor equipment, and contribute to continuous improvements in patient care.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a one-year accredited program in MRI Technology or ARRT MRI certification.
  • Current CME requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Process MRI scan sequences; verify demographics and technical information; check image quality.
  • Collaborate with the medical team on specialized MRI scans and review pathology, surgical and other reports to monitor patient progress.
  • Monitor patient’s condition and administer first aid as required; assist physicians in emergencies.
  • Consult with Supervisor to report issues and suggest improvements to patient care, quality and clerical functions.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report problems to the Manager; record malfunctions.

Position Objective

Performs routine and complex

Performs routine and complex MRI procedures in accordance with established safety and quality standards and the special needs of patients.

Essential Job Duties

  • Processes MRI scan sequences; verifies demographics and technical information; checks technical quality of images.
  • Participates as a member of a specialized medical team in performing specialized MRI scans of various organs and in preparing patients for specific procedures. Reviews pathology, surgical, and other reports to monitor patient progress and provide a means for evaluating the accuracy of MRI examinations.
  • Constantly assesses patient’s condition and administers first aid as required; assists physicians in cases of adverse reactions or emergencies.
  • Confers with the Supervisor to recommend changes, report problems and provide feedback on improving patient care, technical quality and clerical functions.
  • Monitors equipment performance and reports problems to the Manager; records malfunctions as required.
Educational/Experience Requirements
  • Successful completion of a one-year accredited program in MRI Technology or ARRT MRI certification
  • Current with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements
Required License/Certifications
  • Current State of Maryland Licensure (preferred)
  • ARRT (MRI) or ARMIRT (required)
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS (required)

Pay Range

$43.05—$50 USD
