Job summary

Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, OH is seeking an MRI Technologist for full-time daytime shifts. The role involves performing diagnostic MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety, and documenting actions in a timely manner.

Candidates must hold Ohio radiographer license and ARRT as RT, CPR, and MRI specialty preferred or achievable within 2 years; hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiology program with emphasis on anatomy, physiology, radiation physics, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Current radiographer license from the State of Ohio Department of Health and a current ARRT registry as an RT are required.
• MRI specialty license is preferred (ARRT) or to be achieved within 2 years.
• CPR certification is required.
• Preference given to applicants with hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI procedures.
• Complete procedures, assess patient age/condition and ensure proper exam documentation.
• Communicate and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures as assigned and adhere to hospital policies and regulations.

MRI Technologist- Full Time - Days - $15,000 Sign-on/Retention

• Responsible for performing diagnostic procedures in MRI.
• Responsible for all functions necessary to complete the procedures, such as, assessing patient for age and condition specific care, identifying and performing the appropriate exam, and documenting all appropriate actions in a timely manner.
• Communication and collaboration with all other healthcare team members is paramount.
• Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures as assigned.
• All actions shall be performed in adherence to hospital policy, federal and state regulations, and the highest professional practice standards.

Requirements Include

• Graduate of an accredited program for radiology with an emphasis on anatomy, physiology, radiation physics, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Individual MUST possess and maintain a current radiographer license from the State of Ohio Department of Health and a current A.R.R.T. registry as an R.T.
• Specialty license in MRI from the appropriate licensing board is preferred (A.R.R.T) or will achieve specialty license within 2 years.
• CPR certification required.
• Preference will be given to individuals with past hospital experience.
