Join to apply for the MRI Technologist- FT -Charlotte role at Akumin.

As an MRI Technologist, your responsibilities include patient safety, performing high-quality MR studies on-site and remotely, and effective communication with radiologists, team members, patients, and customers, especially in a mobile environment. You may also train and orient new technologists, Patient Coordinators, and MR Technologist Assistants.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Ensuring patient safety, including pre-screening, aseptic injection techniques, and remote MR Technologist oversight.
• Producing high-quality diagnostic images and operating multiple MR systems as required.
• Using all communication channels to address concerns, solve problems, and resolve conflicts.
• Communicating effectively with customers and radiologists.
• Training and orienting new staff on-site and remotely.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ARRT (R), ARRT (MR), or ARMRIT certification as allowable by contract.
• State license if applicable.
• CPR Certification.
• Valid driver’s license if applicable.
• For technologists registered in other modalities: 3 months supervised MRI experience or enrollment in an MRI training program for over 6 months.
• MR registered technologists (RT(MR)) or ARMRIT: No experience required.
• Ability to work at multiple locations.
• Strong customer service, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be required.
• Local travel may be necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent.
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by ARRT.
• One year of MRI experience.

Physical Requirements:

Exposure to weather, magnetic fields, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases. Physical activities include sitting, standing, walking, repetitive movements, stooping, kneeling, climbing, lifting, and transferring patients.
