Job summary

UNC Rex Holly Springs Hospital is seeking a certified MRI Technologist to perform procedures and tests using MRI equipment, ensuring accurate data acquisition and patient safety. The role includes image transfer to PACS/EMR systems and collaboration with the diagnostic services team.

The ideal candidate will be ARRT/ARMRIT credentialed or eligible, with MR certification within one year and strong attention to protocol compliance.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited radiologic education program or equivalent.
• Must be registered or registry-eligible with ARRT/ARMRIT and maintain CE credits.
• Advanced MR certification within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identification and assist patients and families, ensuring safety and understanding.
• Operate MRI scanners, perform automatic contrast injections, and optimize scanning parameters.
• Administer IV/oral contrast per protocol and review lab values before injections.
• Transfer images to PACS/EMR/EPIC, verify accurate charges and complete orders timely.
• Precept new staff and students; support research and quality improvement.
