Job summary

Akumin is hiring an MRI Technologist at our Wilmington, NC location for a part-time role. You will ensure patient safety, perform high-quality imaging, manage supplies and assist with transport, while communicating effectively with radiologists and patients.

The position requires ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registration, CPR certification, and a state license where applicable. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with preferred registry and an associate degree or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience.
• Registered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS.
• State License, as required.
• Technologists performing mid-day moves.
• CPR certification.
• Active state driver’s license.
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Orders supplies, cleans unit, assist in preparing for transport on a daily basis.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains new technologist and/or PC's

Education
