Responsibilities

• Administers gadolinium contrast intravenously and screens for allergies.
• Positions patient, follows exam protocols and consults with radiologist as needed.
• Enters scan data and specifies anatomy, orientation and position in the computer.
• Communicates with patient before and during procedure to explain risks and ensure safety.
• Adjusts MRI sequences and slice positioning per exam and patient anatomy.
• Ensures MRI safety by screening for ferromagnetic objects and contraindications.
• Maintains and cleans work area and equipment; replenishes supplies.
• Coordinates scheduling and prioritizes urgent exams; ensures accuracy in HIS/RIS.”
