Job description

Join to apply for the MRI TECHNOLOGIST - EVENING SHIFT role at The George Washington University Hospital.

Responsibilities

1. Perform imaging studies specific to modalities such as Ultrasound, Mammography, Special Procedures, CT, and MRI. Must be proficient in general diagnostic radiology.
2. Be technically savvy in MRI scanning specifications.
3. Work in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
4. Evaluate implants and metallic objects for MRI safety; determine safe operation of pacemakers and magnetic fields.
5. Utilize proper MRI pre-screening and other safety forms.
6. Understand IV types used in MRI, contrast injection techniques per ACR guidelines, and perform POC testing as needed.
7. Preferred experience in Cardiac, Breast, and Functional MRI; proficient in Neuro, Body, and MSK scanning.
8. Work with 5T GE and Siemens MRI systems.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography school.
• ARRT certification; MRI certification required.
• BLS certification.
• At least 3 years of experience as a diagnostic or MRI technologist in a hospital setting.
