Job summary

Provident Behavioral Health is seeking an MRI Tech to perform high-quality MRI procedures across all age groups in the Radiology-Imaging department. Neonates to adults, including critically ill patients, will be scanned, with emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities include diagnosing MRI scans, thorough documentation, adherence to safety guidelines, contrast safety review, and active quality assurance participation to ensure optimal workflows.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent; graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers.
  • Less than one year of related experience preferred, especially in acute care settings.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic MRI scans, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
  • Complete thorough documentation of patient care activities.
  • Follow MRI safety guidelines, verifying patient screening and implanted devices prior to procedures.
  • Assess contrast agent safety, including evaluating creatinine results.
  • Maintain technical competencies and operate equipment safely and correctly.
  • Participate in quality assurance, quality improvement, and documentation processes.
  • Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize workflow.
  • Report equipment issues and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Education
