Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a qualified MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI exams under physician supervision. You will administer contrast, screen for safety, review records for implants, and coordinate care with radiologists and staff.

The role requires ARRT MR certification and at least 1 year of x-ray experience, with weekend shift availability and adherence to safety protocols in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Provide quality MRI imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician.
• Administer MRI contrast per protocol.
• Evaluate patient MRI safety screening forms prior to scanning.
• Review patient records for accuracy and implants using vendor resources.
• Explain procedures to patients and document interactions accurately.
