Job summary

Major Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diverse MRI procedures and produce reliable diagnostic images in a hospital setting in Indiana. The role includes screening patients for safety and maintaining a professional relationship with staff and patients.

The ideal candidate will be ARRT certified in MRI, Indiana licensed, and able to perform MRI exams with minimal supervision while upholding safety standards and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

  • One year of hospital MRI experience preferred.
  • Radiologic Technologist program completion from an accredited school.
  • Ability to perform MRI procedures with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Operate MRI equipment to acquire diagnostic images.
  • Screen patients and visitors for safety before entering MRI suite.
  • Provide high-quality imaging and maintain rapport with patients and staff.
  • Maintain knowledge of MRI safety and protocols.

JOB SUMMARY AND SPECIFICATIONS
JOB SUMMARY

Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying a magnetic field for the purpose of detecting pathology. Screens patients and visitors before entering the MRI suite to ensure patient/visitor safety. Applies principles, theories and techniques of MRI technology to produce reliable test results. Operates the MRI equipment and images to obtain a permanent record of the examination. Knowledgeable in the effects of the static magnetic field to safely scan patients. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments, and Medical Staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Professional & Technical Skills
  • One year of hospital MRI experience preferred.
Education

Successful completion of a program from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology

License(s) or Certification(s)

Registered with the ARRT and certified in MRI and certified by the State of Indiana.

Other Skills or Requirements

Ability to perform all MRI procedures without constant supervision..
