Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our radiology team. You will perform diagnostic MRI exams under the direct supervision of the Radiologist and provide patient care for neonatal through geriatric patients.

You will position patients, select the correct protocols, operate all imaging equipment, and maintain competencies in non-scanner duties. You will follow established imaging protocols and contribute to quality control per ACR guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT-accredited hospital-based training.
• None; 6 months MRI experience preferred.
• AR DMS or ARRT radiographer registration upon hire; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations under supervision.
• Position patients and select correct protocol and operate imaging equipment.
• Follow established imaging protocols and maintain non-scanner competencies.
• Perform quality control procedures per ACR guidelines.
• Provide age-appropriate patient care and education.
• Maintain competency to position and image patients of all age groups.
