Ultrasound Technologists (Sonographers) are responsible for the administration of multi-frequency sound waves and other techniques for diagnostic, therapeutic or research purposes. A sonographer performs sonographic imaging procedures and acquires and analyzes data needed for diagnosis at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. Ultrasound Technologists independently perform or assist the licensed practitioner in the completion of sonographic imaging procedures. Ultrasound Technologists prepare, administer and document activities related to medications in accordance with federal and state laws, regulations, or lawful institutional policy.

Graduate from Specialty Training Program - Radiologic Technology (Required), Bachelor's Degree - Related Field of Study (Preferred)
Minimum of 1 year - Related work experience (Preferred)
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI); Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body; Sonography (S) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
