Geisinger MRI technologists perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures and manage data acquisition for diagnostic interpretation. They prepare, administer and document medications as required by protocol, while ensuring patient safety and confidentiality.

Professionals will apply MRI protocols, optimize image quality, and supervise students. They work within a clinical environment, adhering to ARRT/MR or NMTCB certifications and department policies to support high‑quality patient care.

Qualifications

• ARRT MRI (MR) certification required.
• Graduate from Radiologic Technology specialty program.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform MRI procedures and assist as needed with safety and accuracy.
• Identify patients and verify clinical history and confidentiality.
• Apply imaging protocols and optimize data quality while ALARA.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed when applicable.
• Evaluate images for quality and ensure proper data transfer/archiving.
• Educate and supervise students and other health staff.
• Ensure compliance with department policies and safety standards.

Formation

Graduate from Radiologic Technology specialty program

Bachelor's degree in related field (preferred)
