Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED preferred; Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or graduate of Radiologic Technology Program.
• Experience: Minimum 1800 clinical hours in Radiography.
• Certifications/Licenses: ARRT (Radiography) registry; Advanced ARRT (MR) registry within 18 months of hire.
• BLS certification required prior to first clinical shift (American Heart Association).
• I.V. credentials required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform magnetic resonance imaging studies for patient diagnosis, including routine and emergent cases.
• Perform 3-D reconstruction via workstation and manage scheduling, film/file management, supplies, and documentation.
• Communicate with family, physicians and involved staff; ensure quality control and adherence to compliance.
• Participate in department quality improvement activities and equipment quality control plans.
• May work varying shifts and provide call/holiday coverage as needed and train new technologists/students.
