Job summary

Adventist Health Portland seeks an MRI Technologist to produce MRI images for diagnostic purposes according to physicians' orders. You will calibrate equipment, ensure high-quality images, and coordinate patient care with other services.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma from MRI school or Associate's degree in Radiology is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scans patients in accordance with established protocols and physician orders. Performs MRI diagnostic procedures in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by physicians. Produces images and presents findings to physicians for diagnoses.
• Prepares, administers and monitors contrast media. Adheres to precaution standards.
• Obtains pertinent patient information and disseminates subsequent patient preparation instructions to patient care areas.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
