Job summary

UPMC is hiring for a radiologic technologist who performs imaging procedures at a technical level with independence and clinical judgment for diagnostic purposes.

The role includes ensuring MR safety, maintaining competency across exams and equipment, and documenting patient data. AARRT registry or MR certification must be pursued within specified timelines, with CPR/BLS compliance required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or CNMT/ARMRIT/ARDMS program.
• ARRT registry must be obtained within 6 months if eligible; MR registry within 18 months of hire.
• CPR/BLS required per AHA standards within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Practices and maintains MR safety in the department.
• Maintains clinical competencies for all exams and equipment.
• Performs procedures for reviewing processing and archiving.
• Reads and presents all relevant information to the physician prior to exam and follows protocol.
