Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a MR Technologist - PRN to operate MRI scanners and deliver patient-focused imaging services. You will perform MRI procedures for diagnostic purposes, ensuring patient safety and excellent service despite limited supervision.

Qualified candidates are ARRT or ARMRIT certified, CPR trained, and possess a diploma with AMA-radiography training. This PRN role emphasizes high-quality care and teamwork within the radiology department.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
  • ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
  • Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

  • Screens patient before exam for precautions or contradictions using two identifiers.
  • Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures and positions patients for scanning.
  • Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Adjusts MRI scan parameters as needed.
  • Follows physicians' orders, maintains RIS records, and adheres to safety regulations.
  • Maintains an orderly and clean work area and sanitizes equipment.
  • Maintains equipment in good working order and disinfects after use.
  • Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
  • Assists with updating imaging protocol manuals and software upgrades.
  • Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary.
  • Assists in training new team members.
  • Completes other tasks as assigned.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a MR Technologist - PRN to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Job MR Technologist - PRN, you will be responsible for the operation of assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Taking a patient centered approach, you will provide MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure
  2. Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately scanned
  3. Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeated scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure
  4. Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed
  5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)
  6. Maintains an orderly and clean work area including sanitized equipment promoting good safety habits for patients and team members
  7. Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
  8. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements
(5%) MRI Department Support
  1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades
  2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary
  3. Assists in the training of new team members, providing resource and technical expertise, as applicable
(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned
Required:
  1. High School diploma, or equivalent
  2. Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
  3. ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need
  4. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable
  5. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
  6. Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently
  7. Certification in imaging specialty
Preferred:
  1. Bilingual
